Night-light Potty Wins Solent LEP Grant Award
Two Southsea based inventors of a night-light potty, LumiPotti, are celebrating winning an award of funding from the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). The award named Bridging the Gap funds up to £50,000 and will help launch LumiPotti, which is the only potty with removable night-light that helps toddlers conquer night toilet training.
LumiPotti is the first potty in the baby care market that offers parents a way to guide children through night wetting to safe, dry nights. As the pre-order list grows LumiPotti with its removable, movement activated night-light has struck a chord with parents anxious to solve children’s night toilet training troubles. LumiPotti houses its own removable night light that automatically illuminates when children rise in bed. Its ambient glow guides them safely to the potty and back to bed before turning off to leave them to sleep in peace. The Bridging the Gap grant award forms part of the government’s Regional Growth Fund which holds £2.4bn specifically for business and projects creating jobs and stimulating growth of the economy.
Speaking about Bridging the Gap Kerry Marriott and Rachael Forder said;
“After our hugely promising launch to nursery trade around Easter we were delighted to receive the good news about our Bridging the Gap success. This award of funding from Solent LEP will give a boost to our consumer launch of LumiPotti in October 2013. With opportunities for funding in the Solent area like this the South Coast is an attractive place for businesses looking to grow strong roots.”
LumiPotti will be manufactured in Britain and has also received award funding from Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS).
